when religion involves earthy items, thats when it gets fucked up

January 24th, 2010

the problem with religion isn’t what it stands for, what it says, or however any of them want you to practice them

the issue lies with turning what is a personal belief onto what others should be doing, and like the “holy lands” they need to live on

wtf? i guess if the group believes it you cannot convince them otherwise

a quote comes to mind from my buddy

“people make decisions to do things 2 ways: #1 with reasoning and logic and #2 with passion. decisions that are made from passion cannot be reasoned”

i think that is a good enlightenment for myself

because i am always trying to convince people of things or decisions or whatever

sometimes i just dont understand their opinion/decision and typically those are opinion/decision

never satisfied

January 5th, 2010

thats the way you gotta be

being never satisfied encourages constant improvement

for example if people were happy with one launch to the outerspace… just like a single successful rocket

where would the space program /satellite/ directv / etc be right now?

point is, people are never happy with the status quo

it can always be better

why is it that instinctive human drive is to make things better

keep improving

of course you can apply this to the whole human race or an individual

the difference is humankind has X amount of years to keep improving

you only have about 100 years

so you need to know when to call it

that’s good enough for now

lets apply it to something simple like

amount of work / effort you put into a report no one will read

is that worth 100 – that effort = your already dwindilingy time left on earth

you need to decide when enough is enough

and also at the same time never be satisfied

knowing how to get there quickly without ever being satisfied is a way to encourge constant quick, small improvments instead of long, big improvements

one hour

November 23rd, 2009

one hour

this is why i love weed

one hour ago i smoke and then i proceeded to do the following

  1. play guitar for 15 minutes
  2. go to kitchen
  3. make guacamole (fuck yeah bought ingredients today)
  4. delish, eat some save for linds
  5. still hungry… figure make a blueberry muffin
  6. grill that up with butter and a glass of milk for pairing
  7. then i came back into the living room
  8. now on the couch watching tv and writing this

thats all in one hour flat

if i dont smoke weed my hour looks like

  1. play on internet (and that parts fine)

i’ll take the red pill bitches

bing… connect with facebook

November 20th, 2009

i think bing is a good start but i’d like to see more

a good example would be connect with facebook intergration

sure we have live id accounts already but there is a strong facebook audience that could be targeted…

we should be federating with facebook and lock up some deals.. partner with them.

facebook users = young, savvy people with gmail accounts.

myspace users = trailer trash

hey sorry, i said it. ;)

you can poach ‘em right from under google’s nose if you do it right

do what?

well bing does a few things i think are good improvments over past attempts at a search engine

  • fairly clean, rotating wallpaper with wiki-tid-bits is pretty slick. seems simple but you’d be amazed how many ladies love it and will switch search engines just for that!
  • i think the travel integration / monetization is a great idea. find people good deals / prediction engine on flights (buy now or wait) makes me want to use the service
  • decision engine is a great model to be driving towards. i really like that.

so the question is what is a good way to encourage facebook users to use bing? and connect bing with facebook?

for example…

say tracking if someone shops off of bing shopping and posted in their feed how much they saved (if they saved with a coupon or something they’d want to share)

obviously this should be a pretty good bing addon service and actually find people good deals… pre-req ;)

just a thought… i just think right now that facebook has the audience to capture…

the question is what is the right way to do ti?

jeez tone down the criticism a bit fox news

October 12th, 2009

its not that hard guys

tone it down a bit and you’ll start making good points

now though, there is too much noise in everything you guys put out

when did it change from legitimate criticism to pessimistic pricks? or was it just always this way?

like quick example this quote from this article

Fox seems to relish the controversy.

“Instead of governing, the White House continues to be in campaign mode, and Fox News is the target of their attack mentality,” Michael Clemente, the channel’s senior vice president for news, said in a statement on Sunday. “Perhaps the energy would be better spent on the critical issues that voters are worried about.”

his response is basically an absolute dismissal of whatever point is being made

its like a daughter comes home from school:

“daddy i was raped.”

“why dont you just focus on getting your homework done.”

this d-bag does not even give the comment any thought what-so-ever

dude that’s soooo third grade

you dbag
